By editing your materials, I'll help you make a great impression on your readers, impress them with your expertise, and inspire them to work with you.

I have several editing packages available, so you can pick the one that suits the needs of your current project.

Developmental editing:

This package is for you if:

1. You aren't sure what all information you want to include in the item you're writing.

2. You aren't sure you're sharing enough information and value, and you want me to help you find ways to add more.

3. You want to make sure you're presenting the information in the right order, so it's easy for your readers to understand and implement.

4. You feel like it needs to be better, but you aren't sure how to make it better.

5. You think it's reasonably good, but you want to get a second opinion.

What it includes:

I'll look over your material and insert comments to help you make sure you're including all the information your readers need, in the order in which they need it, written in a way they can easily understand and implement.

If appropriate, I'll also include advice to help you increase the odds that your readers will turn into paying clients.

Price:

$5 USD per 100 words.

Proofreading and copy editing:

I'll help you make sure your writing is polished and professional, so you can make a great impression on your readers.

The price depends on the level of editing you need. Use the chart below to choose the type of editing that's appropriate for your project, and read the notes below the chart to get more details about the services each package includes.

*After the initial edit, I will send the document back to you for evaluation, so you can approve or adjust the changes I made. If you want further revisions, you can send the document back to me with your instructions for a final polishing.

**Additional consultations after the initial consultation are $150/hour.

If you want to adjust existing materials to target a different audience, to completely rearrange the sequence in which the information is presented, or to put a fresh spin on old content, this package is for you.

We'll begin with a consultation via phone, Meetn, or Zoom, during which we'll discuss what kinds of changes you want me to make, and establish the goal of these changes so I can give you the best possible results. If you aren't sure what kind of changes you want, I suggest getting a round of developmental editing first.

Once we've agreed on the changes to be made, I will begin rewriting.

Once the first draft of the rewritten document is complete, I will send it to you for evaluation. If you approve of the changes, I will perform a round of copyediting for spelling and grammar, then send you the completed document. If you do not approve, tell me what you want me to change, and I will perform up to 2 rounds of revisions, including editing the document for grammar and spelling.

For new clients, I charge 50% up front and 50% upon completion. Established clients may pay upon completion if they prefer.

If you're writing a book, and you aren't in a position to pay for the entire editing job all at once, you may choose to pay for the work on each chapter separately.

You will own all the rights to the finished product, and I will sign a non-disclosure agreement if you choose to provide me with one.

After reading the document, I will recommend an editing package, and provide my reasoning for recommending that package. I'll also provide some suggestions for improving the document.

Whether you hire me for editing services or not, you will get some valuable advice that will help you improve your writing, so you can create better materials and pay less in editing fees in the future.
